Requirements
🧠 Required Knowledge
- Knowledge of data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) and experience with tools like Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler, Hackolade, or NoSQL Workbench.
- Experience with database IDEs (Oracle SQL Developer, DBeaver, pgAdmin, SQL Workbench/J) for schema management and queries.
- Good knowledge of relational database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Good knowledge of non-relational database systems (e.g. MongoDB, Dynamo DB, Cassandra, CosmosDb).
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Good knowledge of procedural SQL extensions, such as PL/SQL for Oracle or PL/pgSQL for PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (utPLSQL, SQLTest) and ability to design repeatable tests for database logic.
- Good experience of database release management.
- Knowledge of performance optimization (query tuning, indexing, execution plans).
- Experience with backup, recovery, and high-availability (replication, clustering).
- Knowledge of data security and compliance practices.
- High level of English.
✅ Main Responsibilitie
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent business requirements and ensure data integrity.
- Design performant, secure, and scalable database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and relationships based on approved data models.
- Implement database designs by writing and optimizing Data Definition Language (DDL) scripts (e.g., CREATE, ALTER) for various database management systems (DBMS).
- Development, maintenance and integration of database components.
- Translate user and application requirements into efficient and effective database structures, stored procedures, and functions.
- Prototype database solutions (schemas, queries, test datasets) for validation with stakeholders before production rollout.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for database components, including unit tests for stored procedures and data integrity tests.
- Writing of technical documentation.
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, conduct query optimization, and implement indexing strategies.
