About the role
Our maintenance and reliability engineering team is a key part of Amazon's commitment to innovation. This team ensures that the tools and technologies we use evolve and adapt to change at the same pace as Amazon. As a senior maintenance and reliability engineering technician, you will help us stay one step ahead by adopting the latest technologies and identifying new, more efficient ways of working. In this role, you will pay special attention to our processes to help meet the demanding standards we uphold and will implement improvements to keep moving forward.
A day in the life
On each shift, you will lead a team, ensuring all members have the necessary materials and that everything works perfectly. This involves overseeing processes to ensure compliance with regulations and policies, as well as ensuring the relevant preventive maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime.
Based on what you observe during your shifts, you will propose improvements aimed at increasing the efficiency and productivity of our systems and, later, implement those changes across all our EU sites. You will also need to use tools such as Scada to monitor processes to ensure their performance, as well as work closely with your direct supervisor on administrative tasks.

- Apply best practices in the safe use of equipment and supervise staff to ensure everyone follows processes correctly.
- Ensure device performance through visual checks, status inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks, and schedule additional reviews when necessary.
- Supervise technical staff on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for maintenance and reliability engineers.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to reduce downtime so packages can be processed as quickly as possible.
- Help find ways to constantly improve systems and standardize processes across the EU network.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma.
- Relevant previous experience in a technical management position.
- Relevant experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Relevant experience in automation or with material handling equipment.
- Advanced level of Spanish, both oral and written, and basic knowledge of English.
