About the role

🔎We are opening a permanent position as a Port Operations and Mooring Agent at our workplace in Morro Jable, and we want you to be part of our team!

What you'll do

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Carry out the maintenance operations of guide lines, buoys, cables, and mooring lines, following maritime practices, to ensure the safety of the vessel during mooring and unmooring.
  • Execute the securing and releasing operations of mooring lines, following the instructions received, to carry out the docking and/or undocking of the vessel.
  • Perform mooring or unmooring maneuvers by applying occupational safety criteria, in accordance with occupational risk prevention regulations in port operations, to avoid harm to the personnel carrying them out.
  • Handle communication equipment regulated by maritime administrations during maneuvering operations, to establish communications with the vessel.
  • Manage the loading and unloading operations of vehicles at the dock, following established protocols and providing support to those who require it.
  • Review vehicle reservations made to verify that the data is correctly entered into the system
  • Monitor traffic in the pre-boarding and boarding lots to facilitate the flow of trucks, cars, and passengers, ensuring the safety of equipment and customers
  • Review boarding passes to ensure reservations are correct and scan them with the various devices
  • Additional administrative and operational tasks inherent to the activity
