We are looking for a Senior Automation and Robotics Engineer to join one of our teams in Ferrol. This role is responsible for the overall technical design, software architecture, and technical coordination of the project. You will be the main point of contact with the client's Technical Management and will be responsible for the proper development, integration, and validation of all software systems for the robotic cell.

What you'll do

  •  Definition of the overall architecture for control, communications, safety, robotics, and HMI.
  • Programming of Beckhoff IPCs using TwinCAT 3, in Structured Text.
  • Development and integration of motion control (TwinCAT NC / NC PTP).
  • Programming and validation of the functional safety system using TwinSAFE, including safety functions and their integration with the standard control.
  • Design and supervision of the Beckhoff HMI, defining usability, diagnostics, and maintenance criteria.
  • Programming of KUKA robots in KRL, including:
  • Design of robotic sequences.
  • Synchronization with the control system.
  • Management of errors and safe states.
  • Advanced use of WorkVisual for configuration and deployment.
  • Coordination and validation of the system using KUKA.Sim and/or Process Simulate.
  • Design and supervision of the development of communication APIs and additional software modules (recipes, traceability, alarms, etc.).
  • Definition of test criteria, execution of FAT, and technical support during SAT and commissioning.
  • Code review, compliance with standards, and validation of deliverables.

How you'll work

  • On-site in Ferrol: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Requirements

o Degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or equivalent.

o Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation and robotic cells.

o Demonstrable experience in:

o Beckhoff TwinCAT 3.

o Motion (NC) and safety (TwinSAFE).

o Programming of KUKA robots in KRL.

o Technical leadership skills, decision-making, and resolution of complex issues.

o Previous experience in industrial projects of similar complexity.
