As part of our growth, we are recruiting for our subsidiary Bureau Veritas Exploitation an In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector and Shop Inspection on a permanent contract, based in VALENCE (26).

What you'll do

Your mission is to visit clients to ensure regulatory compliance of pressure equipment in accordance with the decree of 20/11/2017 and to carry out contractual inspections.

This position has two main areas of focus:

You will:

  • Carry out regulatory inspection and periodic requalification assignments (visual examinations, pressure tests, expert assessments, modifications) in the field of pressure equipment safety (boilers, gas and steam vessels, autoclaves, metal inspection...)
  • Represent Bureau Veritas as an independent third-party organization or as a recognized organization (RO)
  • Write detailed technical reports identifying detected risks and recommending corrective actions
  • Carry out third-party and second-party assignments and verify manufacturing files
  • Inspect manufacturing and assembly operations and monitor non-destructive testing
  • Attend testing and final acceptance of equipment
  • Write inspection reports and manage deviations from the client's specification

What we're looking for

You hold at least a vocational qualification (BAC PRO) in Industrial Boilermaking, or any other diploma in the fields of industrial site inspection and the design & manufacture of industrial boilermaking, or an equivalent qualification. Ideally, you have experience in industrial inspection, metallurgy, welding, or boilermaking. Entry-level candidates are welcome.

A valid driving licence (B) is essential.

Nice to have

Do you have knowledge of boilermaking? Your knowledge of ultrasonic testing will enable you to detect defects and accurately measure the wall thickness of equipment.

Are you rigorous and methodical? Your attention to the systematic verification of your equipment and the quality of your deliverables will ensure the reliability of your inspections.

Can you manage your time and organize yourself independently? You will be able to plan your interventions effectively and deliver your reports within the required deadlines.

Do you have strong writing skills? You will be able to produce clear, precise inspection reports that meet regulatory requirements.
