What you'll do

In the Operations Professional role, you will support the team in the following activities:

  • Carry out plant operations maneuvers within the Power Plant in accordance with the work instructions received, as well as basic maintenance.
  • Carry out on-site operations, checks, and essential maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of systems at Type A Power Plants and Combined Cycle Plants; at Type B Power Plants and Combined Cycle Plants, carry out operations and monitoring of control systems, supervising on-site operations.
  • Carry out any other task that, within the scope of your professional skills and level of competence and in accordance with the applicable regulations, may be assigned to you by your superiors due to service needs; as well as actively participate in compliance with the regulations established regarding the environment and occupational risk prevention.

Who you will work with

The Las Salinas Thermal Power Plant is the main electricity generation facility on the island of Fuerteventura. It is a strategic facility within the Canary Islands' isolated power system, which is not interconnected with the mainland grid. The Las Salinas plant has an installed capacity of approximately 185.3 MW, comprising 11 generation units, including 9 diesel engines (fuel oil and diesel), 2 gas turbines (diesel), and auxiliary equipment.

The contribution of the Salinas Thermal Power Plant to the company can be detailed from several perspectives:

1. Strategic:

· Critical asset within the extra-peninsular power system of Fuerteventura.

· Ensures supply in a non-interconnected system.
