About the role

We are looking for a Category & NPD Specialist to join the global Procurement team, with a key role in the connection between purchasing, engineering and innovation.

This position combines two main responsibilities:

  • Leading sourcing in New Product Development (NPD) projects
  • Managing the packaging and manuals category.

You will have a direct impact on cost optimization, supplier selection and the success of global launches.

What you'll do

  • Integrate Procurement from the early stages of new product development
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain in defining viable solutions
  • Identify and select optimal suppliers based on cost, quality and capacity
  • Ensure compliance with cost, timeline and feasibility objectives
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel, monitoring milestones, risks and needs
  • Lead sourcing and strategy for the categories (suppliers, volume, contracts)
  • Drive productivity initiatives (cost, specifications, consolidation)
  • Develop suppliers in cost, quality, innovation and capacity
  • Work with stakeholders on redesigns, sustainability and product improvements
  • Negotiate commercial terms (price, lead time, MOQ, contracts)
  • Evaluate suppliers (cost, quality, risk, performance)
  • Manage incidents and contingency plans
  • Influence cross-functionally without hierarchical leadership

What we're looking for

  • 2–5 years of experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Category Management
  • Experience in industrial categories (packaging, metals, components…)
  • Solid experience in negotiation and supplier management
  • Analytical skills (cost breakdown, benchmarking, should-cost)
  • Experience in industrial or multinational environments
  • Advanced English (B2–C1)

Education & certifications

Engineering degree is a plus.
