Lead Data Architect

We currently have an open position for a Lead Data Architect to join our company. We are looking for a person with a solid background in data science, capable of leading teams, designing analytical strategies, and guiding the implementation of advanced solutions for our Center of Excellence (CoE) AI.DA.

• Designing, implementing, and evolving the organization's data architecture, ensuring that data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption systems are scalable, secure, and efficient.

• Designing and maintaining reference architectures for data platforms in batch and streaming environments.

• Defining data ingestion strategies (CDC, APIs, streaming), storage (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse), and orchestration.

• Leading the adoption of data integration patterns and frameworks such as ETL/ELT, Data Mesh, and Event-Driven architectures.

• Ensuring data quality, integrity, availability, and traceability throughout its entire lifecycle.

• Defining data models and exploitation strategies

in collaboration with business, analytics, and engineering teams.

• Overseeing security, governance, and regulatory compliance aspects (GDPR, cataloging, access control, and data quality).

• Evaluating new technologies and proposing improvements in terms of performance, cost,

scalability, and maintainability.

• Technically leading multidisciplinary teams, carrying out coaching and mentoring duties.

• Coordinating complex data initiatives, managing estimates, risks, dependencies, and key technical decisions.

• Serving as the main point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders.

• Participating in consulting activities, solution definition, technical proposals,

and pre-sales processes.

• Contributing to the evolution of capabilities, standards, reference frameworks, and best practices within the Data discipline.

• More than 10 years of professional experience in the Data Architect field.

• Proven experience leading complex initiatives related to Data Engineering, Big Data, Data Architecture, Data Strategy, Data Governance, and enterprise data platforms.

• A solid and cross-functional technical foundation within the Data ecosystem is required:

  • Large-scale data processing and transformation.

  • Distributed architectures and Big Data platforms.

  • Data integration and pipeline construction.

  • Relational and analytical databases.

  • Cloud-based data environments.

  • Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL.

  • Experience with Big Data technologies, especially Apache Spark.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Experience with orchestration and distributed processing tools.

  • Databricks will be especially valued as a differentiating skill (nice to have).

• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Advanced English level (B2/C1) for collaboration on international projects.

Tus principales responsabilidades serán:

Aunque dependerán de tu experiencia y conocimientos, entre tus funciones principales estarán:

• Diseñar, implementar y evolucionar la arquitectura de datos de la organización, asegurando que los sistemas de ingesta, procesamiento, almacenamiento y consumo de datos sean escalables, seguros y eficientes.

• Diseñar y mantener arquitecturas de referencia para plataformas de datos en entornos batch y streaming.

• Definir estrategias de ingesta de datos (CDC, APIs, streaming), almacenamiento (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse) y orquestación.

• Liderar la adopción de patrones y frameworks de integración de datos como ETL/ELT, Data Mesh y arquitecturas Event-Driven.

• Garantizar la calidad, integridad, disponibilidad y trazabilidad de los datos a lo largo de todo su ciclo de vida.

• Definir modelos de datos y estrategias de explotación

en colaboración con equipos de negocio, analítica e ingeniería.

• Supervisar aspectos de seguridad, gobernanza y cumplimiento normativo (GDPR, catalogación, control de accesos y calidad de datos).

• Evaluar nuevas tecnologías y proponer mejoras en términos de rendimiento, coste,

escalabilidad y mantenibilidad.

• Liderar técnicamente equipos multidisciplinares, ejerciendo labores de coaching y mentoría.

• Coordinar iniciativas Data complejas, gestionando estimaciones, riesgos, dependencias y decisiones técnicas relevantes.

• Actuar como interlocutor de referencia ante clientes y stakeholders senior.

• Participar en actividades de consultoría, definición de soluciones, propuestas técnicas

y procesos de preventa.

• Contribuir a la evolución de capacidades, estándares, marcos de referencia y buenas prácticas dentro de la disciplina de Data.

• Más de 10 años de experiencia profesional en el ámbito Data Architect.

• Experiencia demostrable liderando iniciativas complejas relacionadas con Data Engineering, Big Data, Data Architecture, Data Strategy, Data Governance y plataformas de datos empresariales.

• Se requiere una base técnica sólida y transversal dentro del ecosistema Data:

  • Procesamiento y transformación de datos a gran escala.

  • Arquitecturas distribuidas y plataformas Big Data.

  • Integración de datos y construcción de pipelines.

  • Bases de datos relacionales y analíticas.

  • Entornos Cloud orientados a datos.

  • Conocimientos avanzados de Python y SQL.

  • Experiencia con tecnologías Big Data y especialmente Apache Spark.

  • Experiencia en plataformas Cloud como Azure, AWS o GCP.

  • Experiencia con herramientas de orquestación y procesamiento distribuido.

  • Databricks será especialmente valorable como conocimiento diferencial (nice to have).

• Familiaridad con metodologías ágiles (Scrum/Kanban).

• Nivel de inglés alto (B2/C1) para colaborar en proyectos internacionales.
