At ONCE we are looking for a Teacher for a temporary vacancy at our ONCE Educational Resources Center in Barcelona. 

What you'll do


WHAT WILL YOU DO ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS?

- Observation and assessment of infants and students under 6 years of age.
- Assessment of assigned students.
- Preparation of the intervention plan proposal.
- Planning of intervention areas based on student needs.
- Travel to students' educational centers.
- Direct in-person attention to students, both inside and outside the classroom, including recess.
- Attention to adults pursuing formal studies.
- Attention to students enrolled in special education centers.
- Intervention in the school setting through technical support and specialized advice to all members of the educational community.
- Keeping the educational community (family, centers, other teams or professionals) informed about the needs and abilities of students with visual impairments.
- Adaptation of materials and teaching resources.
- Collaboration with other institutions or teams.
- Advising classroom teachers on methodological and teaching resources, support, adaptation of resources and materials...
- Intervention in the family setting (individually or in groups – parent schools, workshops...)
- Introduction to information and communication technologies.
- Facilitating normalization, inclusion, and autonomy of students.
- Monitoring of the intervention carried out by other professionals with the assigned student.
- Development of programs and activities complementary to direct attention.
- Design of resources, research, and training for other internal professionals and the different members of the educational community.
- Coordination with the rest of the professionals.

What we're looking for

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? (Requirements)

- Teaching or pedagogy degree.
- B1 level of English, to be validated through a test.
- C1 level of Catalan.
- Knowledge of Braille.
- Proficiency in technological tools and the Office package at user level.
- At least one school year of experience as a teacher or pedagogue.
- Driver's license and own vehicle. ONCE affiliates will be exempt from this requirement.

- Commitment to use a personal vehicle to meet the needs of the position, with the compensation provided in the collective bargaining agreement.
- If you have a disability, you must have a valid disability certificate.
- Prior to hiring, you will be required to provide a negative certificate from the Central Registry of Sexual Offenders, or a document proving the request for such certificate, in accordance with Article 12, section 5, of Law 26/2015 on the "Modification of the Child and Adolescent Protection System."

- Knowledge of sign language/alternative communication systems, work experience in the educational area with students with visual impairments, courses related to the functions to be performed, as well as knowledge of corporate applications and participation in volunteer projects/activities.
