Company History
Mondragon Unibertsitatea was founded in 1997, consolidating the existing cooperative higher education initiatives that date back to the 1950s. It emerged from the cooperatives at Mondragon, which has a tradition of worker-owned businesses, and solidified as a university to integrate engineering, business, and education studies into one academic institution. In 2011, it became part of the Mondragon Corporation, the largest business cooperative group in the world.
