Job description

Position: Second Chef

Location: Rey Juan Carlos University Hospital (Móstoles, Madrid)

What you'll do

Duties:

Support the Head Chef in organizing daily work, ensuring service continuity and substituting for the Head Chef when necessary.

Coordinate the team during the shift: assigning tasks, supervising production and ensuring compliance with hygiene and health regulations and HACCP procedures.

Operational supervision of the service, verifying that it meets the standards established for patients, professionals and the cafeteria.

Raw material management: support in receiving goods, basic stock control, proper storage and taking inventories.

HACCP control and compliance: verifying records, detecting and reporting non-conformities and implementing corrective measures.

Training and mentoring kitchen staff and interns, ensuring the safe and proper use of equipment and utensils.

Operational cost control: supervising waste, prepared quantities and efficient use of resources.

Interdepartmental relations, ensuring a coordinated, safe service focused on patient safety.

Requirements

Intermediate or Advanced Vocational Training Certificate in Culinary Arts and/or Hospitality.

Experience in kitchen production using cook-chill (5th range) methods.

One year of experience in a similar position.

Availability for immediate start.

Experience in team management.

Experience in hospitals, catering and hotels will be valued.
