About the role

Are you passionate about conceptual design in the chemical sector and looking for a project where your experience sets the direction of technical solutions? If you are tired of rigid structures and overly functional environments where your ideas get diluted, this opportunity will allow you to lead with true technical autonomy.

Your role will be the bridge between conceptual design and the success of the technical proposal.

What you'll do

Your key responsibilities:

  • You will design conceptual and basic engineering for industrial projects, without entering construction or detail phases.
  • You will describe chemical engineering processes and prepare the essential deliverables: process flow diagrams (PFDs), mass and energy balances, and equipment, line, valve, and instrument lists.
  • You will advise and provide technical support to the commercial department for the precise definition of proposals aimed at major accounts in the chemical and food sectors.
  • You will coordinate the area's resources, with the support of 1 or 2 direct assistants depending on the workload.
  • You will capitalize on the company's knowledge, driving continuous improvement and actively participating in the design of process solutions and pilot plant testing.
  • The position is designed to provide solid support from the Rubí office. Travel is very occasional: perhaps attending an industry trade fair or making a technical client visit once a month.

What we're looking for

What will make you succeed in this position?

  • University degree: Training in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (preferably with a specialization in Processes or Chemistry).
  • Solid track record: A minimum of 5 years of experience in conceptual and basic process engineering in the chemical industry or in capital goods firms. (Previous experience in Oil & Gas environments will be positively valued).
  • Languages: Fluent technical English, as it is the key daily tool for document and technical management.
  • Key competencies: We are looking for a professional with a high degree of autonomy, the ability to make the right decision when facing technical challenges, and an attitude oriented toward continuous learning.

What you'll get

What you gain: Benefits for your growth:

  • Long-term and permanent project: A stable position with a permanent contract in a growing organization.
  • Competitive compensation package consisting of a fixed salary and a variable package.
  • Growth plan: Your professional development is supported by a real development plan within the company.
  • Real flexibility and work-life balance: Enjoy a reduced summer schedule, flexible daily hours, and one weekly remote work day to balance your personal life throughout the year.
