Chief Production Technician (shift work)

Tasks/Responsibilities:

What you'll do

  • Highest-ranking person responsible for the plant in the absence of the Section Heads, Production Manager, or Plant Manager.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all collaborators carry out their work to meet the production schedule and in accordance with the established occupational risk prevention, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Drives and motivates the entire team to achieve both the strategic and annual objectives set by management.

  • Sets an example daily and continuously through safe and responsible work practices.

  • Leads and motivates all collaborators to perform their work as safely and efficiently as possible, both with operating and shut-down facilities.

  • In the event of an emergency, assumes the responsibilities set out in the self-protection plan.

  • As a production specialist, serves as the technical reference for the shift.

  • Coordinates the different plant sections on a daily basis. Leads the defined communication system.

  • Takes the necessary actions to achieve production targets with maximum safety for collaborators and facilities, and in line with the defined quality and environmental parameters.

Education:

What we're looking for

Experience: a minimum of 5 years of experience in roles similar to those described, in continuous-process industry, is required.

Other: availability to work a fifth shift (rotating shift pattern).

Education & certifications

  • University education required: Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar.

Bachelor's Degree: Engineering (required)
