About the role

As a Quality Engineer at our electronics manufacturing plant, your main missions will be:

  • Interface with the customer regarding quality matters for the assigned P0 projects within the Product Group / Plant.

  • Monitor and control compliance with the change management process.

  • Ensure compliance with the 4M matrix regarding product or process changes; ensure communication to the customer and their approval of changes according to said matrix.

  • Ensure compliance with the CIP (Continuous Improvement Plan), specifically the integrated quality standards: ensure the use of the SPPC (Safety Product and Process Characteristics) tracking sheet, compliance with the SPPC identification procedure, and the transfer of SPPC to the supplier through the VRF.

  • Verify that the LLC (Lessons Learned Cells) have been used and respected.

  • Update quality documents after any product or process related change.

  • Coordinate with the Purchasing team to monitor supplier progress against the project schedule, collecting identified issues and alternative proposals submitted by suppliers.

  • Participate in Design Reviews, including supplier design reviews.

  • Provide support for the activities defined for parts from internal and external suppliers at Valeo plants, supporting the Purchasing and SQA (Supplier Quality Assurance) teams as defined in the Quality RASIC matrix.

  • For Major P0 projects: prepare the PVC (Project Validation Committee) ensuring the availability of all required deliverables; ensure all necessary data is available for each item requiring a PVC decision.

  • For Minor P0 projects: prepare the Change Management Committee ensuring the availability of all required deliverables for the committee.

  • Participate in pre-FDPR and FDPR (Final Design Process Review) reviews; collect detected issues and open the corresponding project QRQC codes.

  • Prepare the internal Initial Sample file for validation by the Plant Quality Manager before submitting said file to the customer for approval.

  • Participate in Project QRQC meetings and complete the assigned tasks during the QRQC meeting within the established deadlines.

  • Collect all issues weekly to prepare the Single Issue List (SIL, Single List of Issues).

  • Update project quality tracking charts: convergence curves, etc.

  • Throughout the Project QRQC meetings, ensure that the rules are respected and that the strategies of "Stop at first disagree" (Stop at first disagreement) and "Stop at first no" (Stop at first no) are applied.

  • Perform Control Plan reviews following a problem and/or test results.

  • Initiate QRQC processes in the event of failures in DV (Design Verification) or PV (Production Verification) tests.
