About the role

Ecoenergies (The district heating and cooling network of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone) is looking to add to its team a Computer Technician Programmer of Control and Automation Systems to provide specialized technical support to its industrial facilities. The selected person will play a key role in the proper operation of the control, automation and supervision systems of the production plants.

What will your main responsibilities be?

  • Comprehensive management of PLCs and plant automation:
  • Installation, reinstallation, configuration and continuous optimization of programmable logic controller (PLC) codes, ensuring proper startup, performance and adaptation of equipment to operational needs.
  • Development and implementation of new functionalities and automation routines not previously existing in the system.
  • Programming and integration of variable frequency drives:
  • Configuration, programming and integration of variable frequency drives for the control of electric motors within the plant's overall control system, enabling centralized supervision and management.
  • Maintenance, improvement and debugging of the SCADA system and HMI interface:

  • Higher Level Vocational Training in Industrial Automation and Robotics, Electrotechnical Systems, Industrial Computing or equivalent university degree.
