ACCIONA, in its Water business line, needs to hire an R&D Engineer for the design, construction and commissioning of the pilot plants associated with its projects in Australia.

The main duties associated with the position are:

What you'll do

  • Execution of technical activities related to the design, construction and commissioning of pilot plants for desalination, water treatment and biogas.
  • Detail engineering (providing instructions and supervising the drafter for the preparation of P&IDs, construction and layout drawings).
  • Supervision of electrical schematics, structural calculations and other subcontracted engineering items.
  • Drafting of control philosophies and electrical and mechanical assembly specifications.
  • Preparation of equipment, instrument and valve lists. Selection and procurement of the same.
  • Supervision of subcontractors and mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Support for the commissioning of pilot plants.

Education & certifications

  • Chemical Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's degree) or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's degree). Mechanical or Chemical specialty.
  • A Master's degree in Water Treatment will be valued.

Languages

  • English: C1/C2

Required experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in the design, construction and commissioning of pilot-scale or transportable plants.
  • Experience in the design of reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, filtration, wastewater treatment and biogas plants will be positively valued.

Computer Science

Computer skills

  • Microsoft Office package,
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and other CAD software.
  • Knowledge of water treatment process design tools (reverse osmosis projections, ultrafiltration) will be valued.
