Big Data Engineer

We are looking to bring on board a Data Engineer with experience in Big Data and Cloud environments to participate in the design and development of scalable data solutions on AWS, working on high-impact technology projects for major clients. The position is based in a city to be defined, under a hybrid work model, with some days worked from home and others in the office, where you will be able to create interesting synergies with the rest of your team.

• Design and develop data architectures on AWS, including data lakes and data warehouses, using services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, and Athena.
• Implement and maintain data pipelines in production using Big Data technologies such as Spark, Scala, Hive, Kafka, or Flink, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and consumption processes by integrating NoSQL databases and serverless services such as Lambda and Step Functions.
• Collaborate in Agile environments, participating in continuous integration and deployment cycles using CI/CD tools and version control.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement technical data solutions aligned with the project's functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure the proper operation of data pipelines in production environments, applying best practices for monitoring and optimization.
• Participate in technical code and architecture reviews, contributing to the continuous improvement of data platforms.
• Work in a coordinated manner with other technical profiles (architects, analysts, developers) within multidisciplinary teams.

Essential requirements:

• University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related technical engineering fields.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in production with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Scala, Hive, Kafka, or Flink.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with AWS data services, including S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Professional experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, HBase, ElasticSearch, or Cassandra.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using CI/CD tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Bamboo, Git, and Sonar.

Valuable requirements:

• Additional professional experience in other cloud environments such as Azure.
• Previous experience with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake.
• Technical certifications in AWS, Azure, or Big Data (Cloudera, Databricks, MongoDB, Kafka, or other equivalent certifications).
• Previous experience in technology projects for major clients.

Responsabilidades:

• Definir e implementar soluciones técnicas de datos alineadas con los requisitos funcionales y no funcionales del proyecto.
• Asegurar la correcta operación de los pipelines de datos en entornos productivos, aplicando buenas prácticas de monitorización y optimización.
• Participar en revisiones técnicas de código y arquitectura, contribuyendo a la mejora continua de las plataformas de datos.
• Trabajar de forma coordinada con otros perfiles técnicos (arquitectos, analistas, desarrolladores) dentro de equipos multidisciplinares.

Requisitos imprescindibles:

• Grado universitario en Ingeniería Informática, Ingeniería de Telecomunicaciones, Matemáticas, Física u otras ingenierías técnicas relacionadas.
• Mínimo 2 años de experiencia profesional en producción con tecnologías Big Data como Spark, Scala, Hive, Kafka o Flink.
• Mínimo 2 años de experiencia profesional trabajando con servicios de datos en AWS, incluyendo S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, Lambda y Step Functions.
• Experiencia profesional con bases de datos NoSQL como MongoDB, HBase, ElasticSearch o Cassandra.
• Experiencia trabajando en entornos Agile y utilizando herramientas de CI/CD como Jira, Jenkins, Bamboo, Git y Sonar.

Requisitos valorables:

• Experiencia profesional adicional en otros entornos cloud como Azure.
