We are looking to bring on board a Data Engineer with experience in Big Data and Cloud environments to participate in the design and development of scalable data solutions on AWS, working on high-impact technology projects for major clients. The position is based in a city to be defined, under a hybrid work model, with some days worked from home and others in the office, where you will be able to create interesting synergies with the rest of your team.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop data architectures on AWS, including data lakes and data warehouses, using services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, and Athena.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines in production using Big Data technologies such as Spark, Scala, Hive, Kafka, or Flink, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
  • Develop data ingestion, transformation, and consumption processes by integrating NoSQL databases and serverless services such as Lambda and Step Functions.
  • Collaborate in Agile environments, participating in continuous integration and deployment cycles using CI/CD tools and version control.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement technical data solutions aligned with the project's functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure the proper operation of data pipelines in production environments, applying best practices for monitoring and optimization.
  • Participate in technical code and architecture reviews, contributing to the continuous improvement of data platforms.
  • Work in a coordinated manner with other technical profiles (architects, analysts, developers) within multidisciplinary teams.

What we're looking for

Essential requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related technical engineering fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in production with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Scala, Hive, Kafka, or Flink.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with AWS data services, including S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Professional experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, HBase, ElasticSearch, or Cassandra.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and using CI/CD tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Bamboo, Git, and Sonar.

Nice to have

Valuable requirements:

  • Additional professional experience in other cloud environments such as Azure.
  • Previous experience with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Technical certifications in AWS, Azure, or Big Data (Cloudera, Databricks, MongoDB, Kafka, or other equivalent certifications).
