About the role

In the ACCIONA Scholarship Program, you will be part of teams that involve you in projects from day one, guided by experts who will help you develop your skills and participate in the day-to-day of a global company.

ACCIONA, in its Water business, needs to bring on an intern for its National Desalination department.

We are looking for someone to collaborate with the Plant Manager, Deputy Plant Manager, and Maintenance Manager in the operational supervision of the desalination facility.

What you'll do

  • Assistance to the technical management in coordinating work shifts and monitoring daily production.
  • Participation in decision-making on the operation of reverse osmosis racks, learning to balance water demand with the efficiency of high-pressure pumping groups and energy recovery systems, always under strict compliance with industrial safety standards and risk prevention.
  • Obtaining and analyzing process data by collecting parameters in the field and in the control system (SCADA).
  • Preparation of technical reports analyzing membrane performance and fouling of sand filters or cartridges.
  • Interpretation of variables to propose adjustments that optimize electricity consumption and the use of chemicals, transforming raw data into useful information to improve plant profitability.
  • Preparation and implementation of technical procedures and instructions that serve as a guide for the most critical operations, such as plant start-up and shutdown or chemical cleaning (CIP) protocols, with the aim of helping to reduce breakdowns, supervising the correct execution of work orders, and proposing technical improvements that extend the useful life of assets, from seawater intake to the treated water tank.
