CIDETEC Energy Storage will select a person to join its Battery Testing unit, whose laboratory tests the batteries of the future for all types of applications: from automotive to aerospace.

The activities will take place at our Energy Storage headquarters, located at Oianguren 5, Zubieta (Donostia-San Sebastián).

Our activity covers the entire value chain, from battery chemistry to the final application. We design, develop, and validate cells, modules, and batteries tailored to our clients' needs, with a clear commitment to transferring technology to industry.

What you'll do

You will join one of the battery testing laboratories with the greatest capabilities in Europe during a phase of major expansion. You will work with leading clients with a global presence within the team.

Your work will focus on testing li-ion cells:

  • Commissioning of test equipment, assembly of tested elements (e.g., jigs, sensors), high-power electrical connections, and integration of instrumentation elements.
  • Drafting and strict monitoring of testing procedures and proposing improvements to evaluation and testing methods.
  • Execution of battery tests for each project under strict safety and quality protocols (ISO 17025) using state-of-the-art test equipment.
  • Programming of test profiles, automation of tests, data processing, and advanced interpretation of results.
  • Preparation of technical reports, documentation, and ability to present to clients.
  • Interaction and discussion with suppliers, as well as collaboration with other areas of the organization, including R&D technical teams, Procurement, or Facilities.
  • Maintenance of equipment and the work area in optimal conditions.

Knowledge

The person joining must demonstrate solid knowledge in:

  • Power electronics, energy storage, or a similar discipline.
  • +3 years of experience in a relevant environment, e.g., li-ion testing, power electronics, semiconductors, storage, etc.
  • Experience in programming tests, standards, procedures, and report preparation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP/CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince 2, Lean Six Sigma)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and oral.
  • High attention to detail and a sense of commitment.
