Senior Manager Logistics IB

Job Objective:

· Management of the automatic warehouse and LGVs at the Bilbao (Galdakao) Plant, comprising 2 areas: finished goods warehouse and maintenance.

· Management and coordination of external warehouses (3PL).

· Management of a team of 60 people.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Team Management

· Ensure that personnel under your supervision clearly understand their roles, functions, and responsibilities.

· Set challenging goals for the team and evaluate their performance.

· Conduct development conversations through feedback.

· Develop the team's training plan, aligning needs with the L&D department.

· Talent selection and development. Ensure they have the tools, training, and opportunities for promotion.

Ensure Warehouse Activities

· Guarantee an excellent level of service to customers.

· Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards to achieve a 'zero accidents' goal. Promote a preventive culture.

· Plan daily warehouse work, ensuring alignment between resource availability and activity (truck loading and unloading, storage, order picking, inventory management, preventive maintenance, and spare parts management).

· Size the team according to needs. Organize the hiring of Permanent Casual and Temporary staff.

· Participate in legal audits (KORE, Food Defense, health and safety, environment).

· Ensure monthly and annual closings. SOX inventory control.

· Actively collaborate with other logistics areas (Transport and Front Office), as well as other Supply Chain departments (Manufacturing, Finance, Planning, QESH, etc.).

· Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of facilities.

· Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly routines.

· Ensure compliance with procedures according to Safety, Quality, and Food Defense standards.

· Promote a culture of continuous improvement to enhance performance and drive sustainable growth.

· Define, standardize, and document procedures according to Operational Excellence requirements.

· Monitor area-specific KPIs. Analyze deviations and develop action plans.

· Build collaborative relationships with suppliers.

Job Requirements:

· Completed university degree, preferably in Engineering or a technical field.

· Advanced English level (B2 or higher).

· Training in Occupational Risk Prevention.

· Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience managing teams in the logistics area.

Knowledge:

· Knowledge of SAP WM and SAP PM.

· Knowledge of LGV and Automatic Silo management software.

· Knowledge related to Operational Excellence and Lean Six Sigma is desirable.

· High proficiency in office software is required.
