Python Architect

Main responsibilities
• Design and define Python-based software architectures, ensuring scalability, maintainability, security, and high performance.
• Establish development standards, best practices, and technical guidelines for engineering teams.
• Lead the design of complex backend solutions using Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask, or others).
• Collaborate with development, data, and DevOps teams to define efficient integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Design and evolve distributed and microservices-oriented architectures when necessary.
• Drive code quality through technical reviews, testing definition (unit, integration, e2e), and automation.
• Participate in defining deployment strategies and CI/CD in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Optimize application performance, identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements.
• Evaluate new technologies, libraries, and frameworks within the Python ecosystem.
• Provide technical support for critical incidents, architecture reviews, and strategic decisions.

Requirements
• More than 6 years of experience in software development with Python.
• Solid experience in backend architecture design and distributed systems.
• Mastery of Python frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Experience in designing and developing REST APIs (GraphQL desirable).
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis...).
• Experience in system integration, messaging, and asynchronous processing (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery...).
• Experience with automated testing (pytest, unittest, or others).
• Knowledge of CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins...).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized deployments (Docker).

We will value
• Experience in event-driven architectures and high-volume systems.
• Knowledge of data frameworks (Pandas, Spark, Airflow) or machine learning environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestrators.
• Best practices in Python application security (OWASP, authentication, authorization...).
• Experience in observability: logging, metrics, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK...).
• Experience leading technical teams or participating in strategic decisions.

Responsabilidades principales
• Diseñar y definir arquitecturas de software basadas en Python, asegurando escalabilidad, mantenibilidad, seguridad y alto rendimiento.
• Establecer estándares de desarrollo, buenas prácticas y lineamientos técnicos para equipos de ingeniería.
• Liderar el diseño de soluciones backend complejas utilizando frameworks Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask u otros).
• Colaborar con equipos de desarrollo, datos y DevOps para definir integraciones, APIs y flujos de datos eficientes.
• Diseñar y evolucionar arquitecturas distribuidas y orientadas a microservicios cuando sea necesario.
• Impulsar la calidad del código mediante revisiones técnicas, definición de testing (unitario, integración, e2e) y automatización.
• Participar en la definición de estrategias de despliegue y CI/CD en entornos cloud o híbridos.
• Optimizar rendimiento de aplicaciones, identificando cuellos de botella y proponiendo mejoras.
• Evaluar nuevas tecnologías, librerías y frameworks dentro del ecosistema Python.
• Dar soporte técnico en incidencias críticas, revisiones de arquitectura y decisiones estratégicas.

Requisitos
• Más de 6 años de experiencia en desarrollo de software con Python.
• Experiencia sólida en diseño de arquitecturas backend y sistemas distribuidos.
• Dominio de frameworks Python como Django, FastAPI o Flask.
• Experiencia en diseño y desarrollo de APIs REST (y deseable GraphQL).
• Conocimientos de bases de datos relacionales y no relacionales (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis...).
• Experiencia en integración de sistemas, mensajería y procesamiento asíncrono (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Celery...).
• Experiencia con testing automatizado (pytest, unittest u otros).
• Conocimientos de CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins...).
• Familiaridad con entornos cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) y despliegues contenerizados (Docker).

Valoraremos
• Experiencia en arquitecturas orientadas a eventos (event-driven) y sistemas de alto volumen.
• Conocimientos de frameworks de data (Pandas, Spark, Airflow) o entornos de machine learning.
• Experiencia con Kubernetes u orquestadores de contenedores.
• Buenas prácticas de seguridad en aplicaciones Python (OWASP, autenticación, autorización...).
• Experiencia en observabilidad: logging, métricas y trazabilidad (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK...).
• Experiencia liderando equipos técnicos o participando en decisiones estratégicas.
