About the role

We are looking for a Principal Designer with at least 8 years of experience creating high-impact digital experiences. Someone capable of combining exceptional aesthetic sensibility with strategic thinking, who knows how to tell stories through design and lead memorable visual proposals.

This role requires both a strong creative vision —capable of generating powerful and differentiating concepts— and the ability to translate those ideas into concrete product solutions, functional and aligned with business objectives. We expect you to lead key initiatives, build inspiring narratives, and elevate visual quality in every delivery.

What you'll do

  • Lead strategic visual design projects for digital products, ensuring excellence in every delivery and aligning solutions with business goals and user needs.
  • Design visually impactful and functional user interfaces, exploring new trends and pushing the boundaries of digital design.
  • Conceptualize and develop innovative proposals for new projects and clients, including visual presentations and engaging narratives.
  • Design new visual directions for digital products, integrating animations that enhance user experience and/or developing videos to communicate conceptual proposals in an impactful way.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (development, product, marketing, etc.) to ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment.
  • Mentor and guide designers with less seniority, raising the team's level and fostering a culture of excellence in visual design.
  • Facilitate workshops and creative sessions with clients and internal teams to boost the generation of innovative ideas and solutions.

What you'll get

  • Permanent contract: we want you to feel part of Garaje and grow with us in the long term.
  • Flexible working hours: we have flexible hours so you can adapt your workday to your personal life. You can adjust both your start and end times according to the dynamics and needs of work-life balance, team, and project. And in summer, you can enjoy intensive working hours.
  • Health insurance with Adeslas: access Garaje's insurance with tax benefits. Additionally, you can include your partner and children. No copays, no waiting periods, no questionnaires.
  • Flexible compensation: save on IRPF by allocating part of your salary to restaurant, transport, and childcare tickets.
  • 26 days of rest: rest with 23 vacation days and regional holidays. Additionally, we grant you 2 extra days off at Christmas and on your birthday to celebrate special moments.
  • Incentives: bring in new clients or employees to Garaje and we'll pay you for it. Be part of the growth!
  • Culture of transparency: we believe in open communication and regularly share the company's situation and objectives in our All Hands meetings and newsletter.
  • G-Book: our oracle: at Garaje, we have a guide in Notion that resolves all kinds of doubts. There, you can find answers to questions ranging from how to request days off and who's who, to how to prepare a guide, corporate templates for deliverables, or similar project presentations as a reference... You won't feel lost!
  • Frequent events and activities: we constantly share knowledge and project learnings. Since we enjoy spending time together, we also organize informal events to get to know each other better and have fun as a team.
  • €500 bonus: we encourage your professional development with a €500 bonus for you to invest in training, language learning, books, or industry events.
  • High-growth environment: evolve your career at Garaje and work in multidisciplinary teams of Design, Data, Growth, and Technology, creating experiences, services, and products with impact for major clients like Vodafone, BBVA, Endesa, Banco Santander, Inditex, Telefónica, Adeslas, Repsol, IKEA, Legálitas, RBI, and Grupo Dani García. Being part of the Garaje team means having the opportunity to contribute to creating experiences, services, and products with significant impact.
  • You will research and understand user and business needs to create digital products and services that delight people through strategic thinking, usability, flexibility, and accessibility.

How you'll work

  • Currently, we have two days a month scheduled by the company (10% of the total) when you must come to the Garaje offices. We do this to ensure everyone has contact with others beyond a screen from time to time.
