About the role

What you'll do

You will take part, among many others, in the following tasks:

  • Prepare and supervise the company's general accounting under French regulations with a high degree of autonomy, including the full accounting cycle, closings and reporting.

  • Prepare the balance sheet and profit and loss statement monthly, ensuring the accuracy of the figures.

  • Collaborate closely with the financial teams of other countries in preparing the various reports.

  • Manage the relationship with the accounting firm and collaborate with it regarding the filing of taxes required by French legislation.

  • Prepare financial and analytical reports using Excel at an advanced level (complex formulas; mastery of macros is appreciated).

  • Prepare and present the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

  • Coordinate administrative activities with the various teams of the unit.

  • Record invoices

  • Create and record supplier payments.

  • Record and monitor accrued expenses and prepaid expenses.

  • Record and monitor fixed assets.

  • Record bank transactions.

  • Record and reconcile transactions made by bank card.

  • Provide support to other areas of the Finance team.

What we're looking for

  • Solid experience in French accounting and taxation. You have worked either in a French company in Spain with reporting to France under the French General Accounting Plan (PCG), or directly in France within a local company. Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience.

  • Excellent command of French (C1), English (C1), and Spanish (C1).

  • Advanced level of Excel.

  • Training in Administration, Finance, and French accounting or similar.

  • Position based in Madrid with availability for regular business trips.

  • Immediate incorporation.

Nice to have

  • Experience in financial auditing will be appreciated.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Navision or Business Central is a plus.
