We are looking for a 🚀 Senior Computer Vision Engineer (UAV & Defense) to lead the development of advanced perception, navigation, and autonomy capabilities on next-generation unmanned aerial systems within strategic defense programs.

🎯 What will your mission be?

Drive the development of advanced perception and visual navigation technologies that enable our UAVs to operate with increasing autonomy, safety, and intelligence in complex environments.

🔍 Your day-to-day

✅ Design and develop advanced Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Intelligent Perception algorithms applied to UAV platforms.

✅ Develop solutions for detection, tracking, target classification, visual navigation, and SLAM using EO, IR, and multispectral image processing.

✅ Define perception architectures and onboard processing systems for next-generation autonomous platforms.

✅ Actively participate in Systems Engineering activities, contributing to requirements analysis, decomposition, and management, architecture definition, and technical trade-off assessments.

✅ Integrate computer vision algorithms into real hardware environments, ensuring their performance on embedded systems.

✅ Collaborate on verification and validation activities, participating in simulations, laboratory testing, and flight campaigns.

✅ Work alongside software, avionics, navigation, artificial intelligence, and systems teams to ensure complete solution integration.

✅ Prepare technical documentation and participate in design and architecture reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), contributing to the technological maturity of developments.

✅ Provide technical leadership in computer vision initiatives, offering technological expertise and guiding architecture and development decisions.

🛠️ What are we looking for?

🎓 Degree or Master's in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

📈 More than 5 years of experience in developing Computer Vision algorithms applied to aerial navigation systems or autonomous platforms.

💻 Solid experience in:

  • Python and C++
  • OpenCV
  • PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
  • Development and integration of embedded AI algorithms

🛰️ Knowledge of:

  • Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems
  • Visual navigation and SLAM
  • Sensor fusion
  • ROS / ROS2
  • NVIDIA Jetson platforms

🤝 Ability to take on technical leadership and interact with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and program managers.
