Tech 1 - Cyber OT Madrid - October 2026

Are you interested in industrial cybersecurity, the protection of critical infrastructures, and how to defend OT/ICS environments against real threats?
Join the Tech Program at KPMG in Madrid within the OT Security team, where we help protect industrial networks, SCADA systems, and critical equipment against increasingly sophisticated attacks.We are looking for undergraduate students in engineering, industrial engineering, or computer science, with an interest in security applied to industrial technology and OT networks.

You will take part in hands-on industrial cybersecurity activities such as:OT risk analysis and identification of vulnerabilities in ICS environments.Support for network hardening and segmentation projects (ISA/IEC 62443, Purdue Model).Basic monitoring of events and alerts from OT/ICS platforms (OT IDS, OT SIEM).Assessment of industrial assets (PLC, RTU, HMI, SCADA) and configuration analysis.Preparation of technical reports and documentation for clients in the industrial, energy, transportation, or production sectors.

• In OT Operations review basic alerts from OT/ICS sensors (industrial IDS, OT network anomalies).Classify and document events by following specific OT playbooks.Support incident investigations in segregated networks, under the supervision of senior analysts.Contribute to the identification of anomalous patterns in industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, S7, OPC...).Collaborate on hardening or recommended segmentation tasks (when applicable and under supervision).
• In OT Analysis and Assessment participate in basic OT security assessments:architecture analysis, asset inventory, and review of PLC/HMI/SCADA configurations.Support the development of OT network maps and topologies under the Purdue Model.Conduct technical OSINT searches to enrich OT threat analyses.
• In Teamwork and Learning participate in internal training sessions on ICS/SCADA, Purdue, ISA/IEC 62443, and OT protocols.Attend team dailies and knowledge-sharing sessions.Learn to use specific OT tools such as:Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos, or similar platforms.Protocol analysis tools (Wireshark with industrial decoders).

The process will be conducted in person in early July 2026. We are looking for students who will be entering their final year of undergraduate or master's studies starting in September and who are interested in developing professionally in this area.

• Undergraduate students in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Basic knowledge of networks, systems, and security concepts.
• Valuable: familiarity with industrial protocols, automation, and control.
• Analytical profile, documentation skills, and good written and oral communication.
• Advanced English level.
• Possibility of signing an internship agreement starting in October 2026.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a highly specialized environment.

• En Operaciones OT revisar alertas básicas procedentes de sensores OT/ICS (IDS industriales, anomalías de red OT).Clasificar y documentar eventos siguiendo playbooks OT específicos.Apoyar investigaciones de incidentes en redes segregadas, con supervisión de analistas senior.Contribuir a la identificación de patrones anómalos en protocolos industriales (Modbus, DNP3, S7, OPC...).Colaborar en tareas de hardening o segmentación recomendada (cuando aplique y bajo supervisión)
• En Análisis y Evaluación OT participar en evaluaciones de seguridad OT básicas:análisis de arquitectura,inventariado de activos,revisión de configuraciones en PLC/HMI/SCADA.Apoyar la elaboración de mapas de red OT y topologías bajo el modelo Purdue.Realizar búsquedas OSINT técnicas para enriquecer análisis de amenazas OT
• En Equipo y Aprendizaje participar en formaciones internas sobre ICS/SCADA, Purdue, ISA/IEC 62443, protocolos OT, etc.Asistir a dailies del equipo y sesiones de transferencia de conocimiento.Aprender el uso de herramientas OT específicas:Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos u otras plataformas similares.Herramientas de análisis de protocolos (Wireshark con decodificadores industriales).

Prácticas en proyectos reales con clientes del sector industrial y crítico.Flexibilidad para compaginar con estudios.Formación continua, certificaciones internas y mentoring de profesionales senior OT/ICS.Excelente ambiente y opciones de desarrollo dentro del área.Participación en una comunidad internacional de ciberseguridad industrial.

El proceso se realizará en formato presencial a principios de julio de 2026. Buscamos estudiantes que vayan a cursar de cara a septiembre su último año de grado o máster y con interés en desarrollarse profesionalmente en el área.

• Posibilidad de firmar convenio de prácticas a partir de octubre de 2026.
