Achieve/exceed the budget defined in the Business Plan for the Palau de Congressos de Palma and Melia Palma Bay, within the MICE segment, covering room sales, ARR, meeting room revenue, F&B, and event-related services. Responsible for carrying out the necessary actions to meet the established objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION

  • Maintain constant contact with accounts and clients in the corporate segment, identifying new accounts in the market based on segmentation and geographic origin. Follow up and update the database.
  • Coordinate and participate in different promotional activities and sales actions such as Sales blitzes, expos, fairs, and forums, in collaboration with the different M&E teams.

  • Ensure the correct content and updating of information for the Palau de Congressos de Palma and the Meliá Palma Bay hotel on the different specialized digital platforms for MICE: Cvent (2 profiles), MICE Access (1 profile), Eventoplus (3 profiles).   • Ensure that negotiations and contracts with different companies and credit approvals for clients are carried out according to the policies and procedures established by MHI.
  • Support the internal sales team in quoting leads, follow-ups, creating landings for groups/events, and preparing contracts and proformas.
  • Monitor the inbox of the generic (sales) email / MARS requests to ensure response times of 24.00/48.00 hrs are met.
  • Monitor the MARS company CRM, regarding tasks, campaigns, pending leads to quote, etc., to ensure adequate and updated response times.
  • Innovate and propose improvements in the commercialization of large events, Power Meeting format meetings, EcoTouch by Meliá, and room type sales for the MICE segment.
  • Periodically send a "demand calendar" for the Palau to the entire sales force, informing them of "need periods" and requesting support when necessary.
  • Follow up with the GSO´s to identify the best time to launch specific actions.
  • Monthly follow-up on the productions of the GSO´s, and quarterly sending to each regional manager of the same VS Budget.
  • Seek local business for short/medium-term meetings, with the aim of filling gaps and maximizing hotel meeting space usage.
  • Support the DOSM & Associate during their travels / vacations.
  • As a representative of the resort, the SM must be proactive on Social Media (RRSS), especially LINKEDIN, ensuring posts about commercial actions, congresses, Palau milestones, etc.

COMMUNICATION

  • Build client loyalty for the hotel and the Palau de Congressos de Palma by establishing excellent relationships and constant follow-up.
  • Maintain a professional image in both appearance and conduct when dealing with clients or any company with a professional relationship with the hotel.
