Job Description

Build a safer world from day one

At OCA Global, we don't just carry out inspections; we work every day to make this world a safer and more sustainable place. As a Technical Inspection Intern for Pressure Equipment and Welding, you will join our Non-Destructive Testing division in Madrid to learn and collaborate on the supervision and operational integrity of high-impact industrial infrastructure.

If you have technical training, are looking for an opportunity to learn from scratch alongside senior specialists, and want to build a career with real growth potential in the industrial sector, this is the place to take off.

Your Missions with Purpose

In your day-to-day work, you won't be a mere spectator; you will actively participate in key missions with real impact:

  • Collaborate in the inspection and monitoring of the manufacturing of pressure equipment under the PED Directive (modules A, B, F, and G) to ensure maximum operational safety of the facilities, while gaining first-rate hands-on field experience.

  • Prepare and manage key technical documentation (Welding Procedure Specifications - WPS and Procedure Qualification Records - PQR) to ensure compliance with required regulations, turning theory into rigorous document and regulatory mastery.

  • Provide technical support in the qualification of welders and operators to raise quality standards in industrial processes, developing your technical judgment alongside leading inspectors.

  • Draft inspection reports and technical files in the office to add value and transparency in deliverables to our clients, strengthening your analytical and problem-solving skills.

What would we like to see in your profile?

We don't expect you to know everything from day one, but rather to have the foundational tools and the willingness to learn and feel comfortable in the position:

  • University technical education (Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering) or a Higher Degree in Metal Construction or related fields: This is the conceptual foundation that will help you quickly grasp the regulations and processes of the sector.

  • Passion and motivation to develop in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and welding: We will take care of teaching you from scratch. It will be positively valued if you already have knowledge or certifications (Level 2 in PT, RT, MT, VT, UT, or IWS), but it is not essential.

  • Proficiency in office tools (Microsoft Office): You will need it daily to prepare inspection reports and technical files fluently and in an organized manner.

  • Driver's license and own vehicle (with availability for occasional travel): This will allow you to travel with senior technicians to client facilities when field supervision is required.

  • Collaborative attitude and teamwork skills: Essential for integrating into an environment where mutual support and direct communication are the cornerstone of daily work.

Why join our project?
  • Learning from scratch and career growth: You will be part of a leading company in a highly specialized sector, with a clear roadmap for long-term professional growth and progression paths toward management roles or technical specialization.

  • Human, young, and flat culture: You will work side by side with expert professionals willing to guide you and resolve your doubts without hierarchical barriers or bureaucracy.

  • Dynamic and varied environment: Forget routine by combining technical work in the office with direct contact with industrial reality in the field.

  • Work-life balance and well-being: We respect and care for your personal time with a schedule designed for work-life balance:

    • Guaranteed days off: December 24 and 31 are off for the entire company.

Shall we talk?

If you are looking for your first opportunity to train in a sector with a present and a future, within a team that trusts young talent, we want to meet you.

Apply now and let's take the next step in your professional career together!
