From the private hospitals of Quirónsalud in Madrid, we are looking for an Endoscopy Nurse for the Quirónsalud University Hospital Pozuelo, located at C. Diego de Velázquez, 1.

What will your mission be?

To provide comprehensive and safe patient care from the moment they arrive at the unit, throughout the examination, and after it is completed, promoting health education, in coordination with the rest of the team members, applying the knowledge specific to their role, and following the guidelines established by the center based on the care protocols of each area, contributing to delivering a service of excellent quality and patient safety.

What you'll do

What will be your functions and responsibilities?

To provide comprehensive and safe patient care throughout the entire care process, following the nursing care plan and ensuring respectful communication with patients and their families.

To correctly identify the patient by verifying their data and checking their identification bracelet, in accordance with safety protocols.

To inform and accompany the patient throughout their care process, carrying out the corresponding follow-up and properly recording all actions in the medical record.

To maintain continuous professional development and actively participate in professional growth and the improvement of care quality.

To collaborate in the organization of the unit and supervise auxiliary staff when necessary, acting as a professional reference.

To administer sedation under medical prescription, monitor vital signs, and assess the patient's general condition before, during, and after the procedure, including the insertion of intravenous lines and follow-up in the recovery room.

To assist in performing endoscopies, colonoscopies, endoscopic ultrasounds, and other therapeutic digestive procedures (ERCP, gastrostomies, stent placement, among others), following established protocols.

To prepare, check, and ensure the availability and proper functioning of the materials, equipment, and devices required for each endoscopic procedure.

To collaborate with the medical team in preparing materials, handling the endoscope, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, providing the necessary support throughout the entire procedure.
