About the role

Do you want your work to have a real impact on the mobility of millions of people around the world? We are looking for a Design Engineer - Mechanical Installations to join the Mechanical Installations department in Bilbao. You will be responsible for providing support to the manufacturing and assembly of mechanical systems on board trains (HVAC, sanitary installations, refrigeration, braking, exterior/interior doors, fire detection/extinguishing, compressed air installations). Definition of the mechanical architecture (layout on the train and integration into the car/body of the onboard mechanical systems).

3D design of supports, brackets, frames, among others.

Preparation of 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings (tolerances, adjustments, etc.).

Follow-up of initial assemblies and associated manufacturing issues that require design modifications.

Collaboration in the verification and integration of the different mechanical systems.

Requirements

Degree in Technical or Higher Engineering (preferably Industrial or Mechanical).

2 to 5 years of experience in similar roles (experience in the railway sector is highly valued).

Advanced proficiency in 2D/3D design tools (preferably Siemens NX).

Advanced knowledge of mechanical integration of onboard systems (HVAC, water/sanitary, braking, refrigeration, doors, fire protection, compressed air).

Experience with PLM management tools (preferably Teamcenter) and applicable railway standards is valued.

Availability to travel.
