What will your job involve? 💡

You will join the Systems Engineering Department at our center located in Bilbao.

Your mission as a Railway Systems Engineer will be to actively contribute to the development, supervision, and improvement of the railway system in projects, carrying out the definition, design, and analysis of the train concept.

And to do so, you will perform functions such as:

  • Define, design, and develop the train concept from an electrical and mechanical point of view:
    • Train performance/attributes: Define and develop train performance.
    • Train functionality: Develop train specifications, functional analysis, and interfaces with the transport system.
    • Train architecture: Define applicable subsystems and their functional, communications, electrical, and mechanical architecture.
    • Document how the train is, how it works, and how it is operated (train manuals, technical documentation, and specifications).
    • Analyze the technical impact of changes required by different product stakeholders and/or new clients.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system and subsystem integration: Define and arbitrate subsystem interfaces: mechanical, electrical, and functional.
  • Supervise the technical implementation of solutions in projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Perform risk analyses, propose, and execute mitigation measures.
  • Manage system requirements and ensure compliance and traceability at all application levels.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools in the area.

  • At least 6 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Advanced level of English (minimum B2).
