About the role

Are you a hands-on production leader who enjoys being on the shop floor and seeks an environment where you have real autonomy to make decisions? Do you shy away from excessive bureaucracy and prefer to roll up your sleeves alongside your team to drive production forward?

We are looking for a Production Manager for a consolidated industrial company with a family-like atmosphere. If you have experience managing teams on the plant floor, the ability to solve problems with ingenuity, and you are looking for a project where your work has a direct and visible impact, this is your opportunity!

What you'll do

  • Managing a team of around 20 people. Organizing resources, ensuring deadlines are met, and leading by example with empathy.
  • Prioritizing manufacturing orders, making immediate operational decisions (line stoppages, changeovers), and ensuring performance targets are met.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with quality regulations, preventing cross-contamination (between food and chemical products), and ensuring the proper use of PPE.
  • Getting directly involved on the floor to resolve breakdowns or bottlenecks. Performing basic mechanical adjustments and providing support in machinery configuration (SCADA, PLCs).
  • Promoting practical improvements in day-to-day operations to make workers' jobs easier, optimizing resources without relying on large capital investments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or Production Supervisor in manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of mechanical adjustments for machinery. Automation knowledge (SCADA/PLCs) is highly valued.
  • Excellent leadership skills, tact, assertiveness, and empathy to earn the respect of operators who have been with the company for many years.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to product changes (from food to chemical products) given the high cleanliness and quality requirements involved.
  • We are looking for someone willing to roll up their sleeves and work on the shop floor when needed, and who takes full ownership of their area.

Benefits and conditions

  • Central shift, Monday to Friday, with a very flexible start time (ideally between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM to coincide with shift handover).
  • Real freedom to manage your area, test new ideas, and propose improvements, within an agile company free from corporate bureaucracy.
  • A close-knit, supportive environment where "production problems are everyone's problems," with a highly hands-on onboarding process supported by the entire team.
