Cybersecurity Engineer in Embedded Systems

At RDT Ingenieros, we are looking to expand our development team and need to bring on board an Embedded Software Engineer with knowledge of cybersecurity to collaborate on projects focused on the design and implementation of secure embedded systems. The position can be carried out in a hybrid model, based in Barcelona or Abrera.

· Work and collaborate (while learning) on the development and improvement of various security architectures and functionalities alongside other experts with more than 10 years of experience.

· Develop and integrate functions such as Secure Boot, Secure Firmware Update, Secure Communications, among others.

· Propose and adapt secure global solutions pragmatically within complex IoT ecosystems.

· Work on legacy code and existing hardware.

· Conduct security reviews of existing product architectures.

· Interact with various environments and products, including: bare-metal, RTOS, different microcontrollers, cryptographic libraries, and debugging tools such as JTAG or SWD.

· Perform compilation, linking, flashing, and debugging tasks on microcontrollers.

· Degree in computer engineering, electronics, telecommunications, or related fields.

· At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development in C/C++.

· Advanced English.

· Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity, including: applied cryptography, PKI, key and certificate management, chains of trust, IAM, secure channels, access controls, etc.

· Experience with cross-compilation, RTOS, and adapting solutions to existing hardware.

· Experience with various hardware platforms (STM, NXP, Infineon, Renesas), bootloaders, secure boot and secure firmware update libraries (MCUBoot, SBSFU), secure hardware (TPM, Secure Elements), and lightweight cryptographic libraries (mbedTLS, wolfSSL, OpenSSL).

· Solid understanding of the build, linking, flashing, and debugging process.

· Experience in cloud environments, security validations, and securing CI/CD pipelines will be valued.

· Participate in a technical project with real impact on security in IoT environments.

En RDT Ingenieros buscamos ampliar nuestro equipo de desarrollo y precisamos incorporar un/a Ingeniero/a de Software Embebido con conocimientos en seguridad para colaborar en proyectos centrados en el diseño e implementación de sistemas embebidos seguros. La posición puede desempeñarse en modalidad híbrida, con base en Barcelona o Abrera.

· Trabajar y colaborar (aprendiendo) en el desarrollo y mejora de diversas arquitecturas y funcionalidades de seguridad junto a otros expertos con >10 años de experiencia.

· Desarrollar e Integrar funciones como Secure Boot, Secure Firmware Update, Secure Communications entre otras.

· Proponer y adaptar soluciones globales seguras de forma pragmática en ecosistemas IoT complejos.

· Trabajar sobre código legado y hardware existente.

· Realizar revisiones de seguridad sobre arquitecturas de productos existentes.

· Interactuar con distintos entornos y productos incluyendo: bare-metal, RTOS, distintos microcontroladores, librerías criptográficas, y herramientas de depuración como JTAG o SWD.

· Realizar tareas de compilación, linkado, flashing y debugging sobre microcontroladores.

· Formación en ingeniería informática, electrónica, de telecomunicaciones o afines.

· Al menos 5 años de experiencia en desarrollo de software embebido en C/C++.

· Inglés avanzado.

· Conocimientos avanzados de ciberseguridad incluyendo: criptografía aplicada, PKI, gestión de claves y certificados, cadenas de confianza, IAM, canales seguros, controles de acceso etc.

· Experiencia con compilación cruzada, RTOS y adaptación de soluciones a hardware existente.

· Experiencia con distintas plataformas de HW (STM, NXP, Infineon, Renesas), bootloaders, librerías de secure boot y secure firmware update (MCUBoot, SBSFU), HW seguro (TPM, Secure Elements) y librerías criptográficas ligeras (mbedTLS, wolfSSL, OpenSSL).

· Buen conocimiento del proceso de build, linking, flashing y debugging.

· Se valorará experiencia en entornos cloud, en validaciones de seguridad y en securización de pipelines de CI/CD.

· Participación en un proyecto técnico con impacto real en seguridad en entornos IoT.

· Flexibilidad horaria y sistema híbrido de teletrabajo (2 días en remoto y los otros 3 en Barcelona o Abrera).

· Colaboración con un equipo experto en seguridad y firmware.
