At RDT Ingenieros, we are looking to expand our development team and need to bring on board an Embedded Software Engineer with knowledge of cybersecurity to collaborate on projects focused on the design and implementation of secure embedded systems. The position can be carried out in a hybrid model, based in Barcelona or Abrera.

What you'll do

· Work and collaborate (while learning) on the development and improvement of various security architectures and functionalities alongside other experts with more than 10 years of experience.

· Develop and integrate functions such as Secure Boot, Secure Firmware Update, Secure Communications, among others.

· Propose and adapt secure global solutions pragmatically within complex IoT ecosystems.

· Work on legacy code and existing hardware.

· Conduct security reviews of existing product architectures.

· Interact with various environments and products, including: bare-metal, RTOS, different microcontrollers, cryptographic libraries, and debugging tools such as JTAG or SWD.

· Perform compilation, linking, flashing, and debugging tasks on microcontrollers.

What we're looking for

· Degree in computer engineering, electronics, telecommunications, or related fields.

· At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development in C/C++.

· Advanced English.

· Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity, including: applied cryptography, PKI, key and certificate management, chains of trust, IAM, secure channels, access controls, etc.

· Experience with cross-compilation, RTOS, and adapting solutions to existing hardware.

· Experience with various hardware platforms (STM, NXP, Infineon, Renesas), bootloaders, secure boot and secure firmware update libraries (MCUBoot, SBSFU), secure hardware (TPM, Secure Elements), and lightweight cryptographic libraries (mbedTLS, wolfSSL, OpenSSL).

· Solid understanding of the build, linking, flashing, and debugging process.

Nice to have

· Experience in cloud environments, security validations, and securing CI/CD pipelines will be valued.
