We are currently looking to hire a Head of Electrical Discipline in Madrid, who shares our commitment to quality, responsibility, and excellent service.

What you'll do

  • Technically lead the electrical discipline throughout all project phases.

  • Coordinate internal and external engineering teams for the development of electrical designs.

  • Review and supervise projects carried out by external engineering firms, covering:

    • LV, MV, and HV electrical systems

    • Emergency generation systems

    • Static and rotary UPS

    • Critical distribution systems (A/B distribution)

    • PDU, RPP, and distribution to IT rooms

    • Protection, selectivity, and coordination systems

    • Grounding and lightning protection systems

    • Electrical monitoring systems integrated into BMS and EPMS.

  • Ensure compliance with AWS standards, international regulations, and client requirements.

  • Develop and review:

    • Single-line diagrams

    • Load studies

    • Short-circuit studies

    • Protection coordination and settings

    • Arc Flash

    • Load flow studies

    • Grounding studies

    • Technical specifications

    • Operational narratives.

  • Interdisciplinary coordination with mechanical, architectural, structural, CSA, and commissioning teams.

  • Participation in procurement processes and technical evaluation of bids.

  • Technical support during construction.

  • Management of RFIs, NCRs, and design changes.

  • Technical support during SAT, IST, commissioning, and energization.

  • Participation in meetings with clients, contractors, and manufacturers with strong technical leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Experience leading electrical projects in critical infrastructures.

  • Previous experience in Tier III/Tier IV Data Centers or equivalent.

  • Advanced knowledge of redundant architectures N+1, 2N, and concurrent maintainability.

  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and international engineering firms.

  • Experience in international environments and large-scale EPC projects.
