About the role

At Sener Energy, we wish to add to our team a Mechanical Equipment Engineer for national and international energy projects, at our work centers in Getxo (Bizkaia) or Tres Cantos (Madrid). You will participate in the mechanical equipment area, in energy projects and bids in both power generation (Power) and Oil & Gas, such as combined cycles, regasification plants, cogeneration, renewables, CO2 capture, Waste to Energy, circular economy, hydrogen, and nuclear.

  • As the Technical Responsible Engineer for Mechanical Equipment, you will work on the Detailed Engineering of EPC/EPm scope Projects and Bids under the supervision of a Discipline Responsible Engineer, in coordination with a multi-geography team from our offices located in Madrid, Bilbao, Sao Paulo, and Mexico City, as well as with engineers from other disciplines, Project Management, the Client, and equipment suppliers.

  • You will need to study the Project's contractual requirements, correctly define mechanical equipment in specifications and data sheets based on data from other disciplines, carry out technical evaluations for equipment procurement, and coordinate and approve documentation from Vendors of rotating mechanical equipment (turbines, pumps, gas compressors, air coolers, etc.) and package units (compressed air, auxiliary boilers, HRSGs, gas regulation and metering stations, etc.). Attendance at shop and site tests of mechanical equipment, as well as technical site assistance and commissioning of equipment, if required.

  • You may also participate in projects of other types and scopes, such as Basic Engineering, FEEDs, bid engineering, owner's engineering, conceptual engineering, and feasibility studies.

  • Aptitude for supervision and management of the functions to be performed in each project.

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems.

  • Aptitude for organization and planning.

  • Clear focus on meeting objectives.

  • Very high level of English (C1).
