About the role

At HEINEKEN SPAIN we are looking for an Area Manager to manage the northern region of Spain.

Mission

Lead the commercial team of Activation Managers, who negotiate to ensure Excellent Execution of our strategy at the point of sale, maximizing coordination with the negotiation teams (KAMs) and Trade Marketing.

What you'll do

Functions

  • Lead the assigned team of Activation Managers, providing them with coaching and accompanying them on commercial visits on a regular basis.
  • Lead the rollout of the strategy and brand plans in the region through Excellent Execution, contributing to the channel's execution, sales, and market share objectives.
  • Design and ensure the execution of the regional plan at the points of sale under their influence, with a special focus on those with the greatest development and impact potential.
  • Responsibility for the perfect execution of the Activation Managers at each assigned customer: availability, accessibility, visibility, and quality levers.
  • Responsibility for the implementation and monitoring of the PICOS tool, which enables us to achieve the picture of success at the point of sale.
  • Identify business opportunities in the region with the aim of gaining market share in strategic channels.
  • Lead the point-of-sale management teams in the region.
  • Lead coordination between the point-of-sale, Negotiation, and Trade Marketing teams, acting as a link between the departments involved in point-of-sale management and development.
  • Lead negotiations with regional point-of-sale managers at our clients.  
  • Lead accompaniment visits with internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the competencies of their employees and participate in their professional development.
  • Monitor and analyze the business through execution and sales KPIs to ensure the set objectives are met, adapt the strategy, and identify opportunities.
  • Control, monitor, and optimize budgets under their responsibility in the region to achieve maximum results.

What we're looking for

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in FMCG positions (Food Area) 
  • At least 2 years of experience leading teams
  • At least 2 years of experience in commercial positions.
  • Higher education (Business Administration, Marketing, or similar)
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills 
  • Customer and results orientation. 
  • Data analysis skills and proactivity to challenge the status quo.  
  • Leadership capability over direct teams and the ability to impact and influence indirect teams and internal stakeholders. 
  • Geographic mobility: availability to travel within the area of influence and to be in the market two or three days a week.
