At Sener Energy we want to add to our team a Mechanical Discipline Lead Engineer for national and international energy projects, at our workplace in Getxo (Bizkaia) or Tres Cantos (Madrid). You will take part in the mechanical equipment area, in energy projects and bids in both power generation (Power) and Oil&Gas, such as combined cycles, regasification plants, cogeneration, renewables, CO2 capture, Waste to Energy, circular economy, hydrogen and nuclear.

  • As the Engineer responsible for Mechanical Detailed Engineering in Projects and Bids with an EPC/EPCm scope, you will lead the discipline work team assigned to the Project/Bid, coordinating mechanical engineering with the other disciplines and the Project Management, as well as with the client and equipment suppliers. You will work with a multi-geography team from our offices located in Madrid, Bilbao, Sao Paulo and Mexico City.

  • You will be responsible for the complete execution of the mechanical discipline scope in the Project, for controlling budgeted hours, meeting the schedule and complying with the established quality standards.

  • You must study the Project's contractual requirements, correctly define mechanical equipment in specifications and data sheets based on data from other disciplines, carry out technical evaluations for equipment procurement, and coordinate and approve documentation from rotating mechanical equipment vendors (turbines, pumps, gas compressors, air coolers, etc.) and package units (compressed air, auxiliary boilers, HRSGs, gas regulating and metering stations, etc.). Attendance at shop and site tests of mechanical equipment, as well as technical assistance to site and commissioning of equipment if required.

  • You may also take part in projects with other scopes and types, such as Basic Engineering, FEEDs, bid engineering, owner's engineering, conceptual engineering and feasibility studies.

What we expect from you

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or Bachelor's and Master's in Industrial Engineering (preferably mechanical).

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in projects related to package and rotating units, power and/or Oil&Gas.

  • Ability to work in a coordinated manner with the other area leads.

  • Skills for supervising and managing the tasks to be carried out in each of the projects.

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems.

  • Skills for organization and planning.

  • Clear focus on meeting objectives.

  • Very high level of English (C1).
