What will your job involve?:  

You will join the Mechanical Installations department/area at our center located in Las Matas.  

Your mission as a Systems Engineer 🔧 will be to develop and validate the concept, sizing, architecture, specifications, detailed design, electrical and mechanical schematics, and other technical documentation for the train's mechanical systems, as well as the technical management of their suppliers, ensuring compliance with each project's requirements and ensuring systems integration, on time, with quality and within cost.

To do so, you will carry out functions such as: 

What you'll do

  • Leading/advising on the development of onboard mechanical systems (exterior doors, interior doors, fire detection and suppression). 
  • Coordinating with the rest of the project team the correct implementation of the systems under your responsibility within the train at the mechanical, electrical, electronic, and functional level.
  • Drafting functional and system specifications, as well as the necessary calculations and simulations, throughout the entire development phase in accordance with specific regulations.
  • Monitoring suppliers from the conceptual engineering phase until the completion of the homologation phase. 🦺
  • Collaborating on test, verification, and integration plans for the various systems. Fully managing the system's life cycle.

What we're looking for

What we are looking for in you:  

  • Degree in Technical or Higher Engineering, preferably industrial or mechanical.
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar roles. Experience in a railway environment is highly valued.
  • Advanced knowledge of onboard mechanical systems (exterior doors, interior doors, fire detection and suppression).
  • Advanced English level.
  • Knowledge of the tools: Doors, TeamCenter, NX.
  • Availability to travel and for short stays.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of railway regulations related to the aforementioned systems (recommended).
