Requirements

What we're looking for

- Qualification in Technical or Higher Engineering, preferably industrial or mechanical.
- 2-5 years of experience in similar roles. Experience in a railway environment is highly valued.
- Advanced knowledge of 2D, 3D design tools: NX (preferably).
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical integration of onboard systems (HVAC, sanitary installation, refrigeration, doors, interior doors, fire detection and suppression, compressed air installations).
- Knowledge of PLM management tools: Teamcenter is valued (preferably).
- Knowledge of railway regulations related to the aforementioned systems is valued.
- English level (at least B2).
- Availability to travel.

What will your job consist of?: 💻

What you'll do

- Definition of mechanical architecture (train layout, integration into the carbody/coach of onboard mechanical systems).
- 3D design (supports, anchors, frames...).
- Preparation of 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings (tolerances, adjustments...).
- Follow-up of initial assemblies and associated manufacturing issues requiring design modifications.
- Collaborate in the verification and integration of the different systems.

How you'll work

Full-time position with flexible start times from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and end times from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, with a summer schedule and the possibility of remote work.

Your mission as a Mechanical Design Engineer 🔧 will be to provide support for the manufacturing and assembly of onboard mechanical systems on trains (HVAC, sanitary installations, refrigeration, braking, exterior doors, interior doors, fire detection and suppression, compressed air installations).
