You will join the Mechanical Installations department/area of our facility located in Bilbao.

Your mission as a Mechanical Design Engineer 🔧 will be to provide support for the manufacturing and assembly of mechanical systems onboard trains (HVAC, sanitary installations, refrigeration, braking, exterior doors, interior doors, fire detection and suppression, compressed air installations).

To do so, you will carry out functions such as:

    • Definition of mechanical architecture (train layout, integration of onboard mechanical systems into the car/body)
    • 3D design (brackets, anchors, frames...)
    • Preparation of 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings (tolerances, fits...)
    • Follow-up on initial assemblies and associated manufacturing issues requiring design modifications. 
    • Collaborate on the verification and integration of the different systems.

What we are looking for in you

    • Degree in Technical or Higher Engineering, preferably industrial or mechanical.
    • 2-5 years of experience in similar roles. Experience in a railway environment is highly valued.
    • Strong knowledge of 2D, 3D design tools: NX (preferably) 
    • Advanced knowledge of mechanical integration of onboard systems (HVAC, sanitary installations, refrigeration, braking, exterior doors, interior doors, fire detection and suppression, compressed air installations).
    • Knowledge of PLM management tools: Teamcenter is a plus (preferably)
    • Knowledge of railway regulations related to the aforementioned systems is a plus.
    • English level (at least B2)
    • Availability to travel.
