About the role

In Telefónica's Threat Intelligence unit, we proactively provide useful and actionable information to our clients to support their security strategy and risk assessment and decision-making.

What you'll do

Conducting research and technical analysis on threats of various natures. Expert knowledge will be required to handle escalations and produce technical and executive reports incorporating intelligence research methodologies, providing information on attack vectors, descriptions of Threat Actors, and related TTPs.

Threat analysis will require the use of virtual machines and sandboxes to safely analyze suspicious links or malware artifacts.

Researching and detecting new attack methods used by adversaries relevant to the financial sector, as well as gathering additional information on relevant publications within underground forums and on the Deep Web and Dark Web.

It will be necessary to develop a broad understanding of the toolset used in the client environment, as well as internal procedures.

A proactive approach to continuous improvement will be required, reviewing processes to identify opportunities for automation and task optimization.

Day-to-day activities will involve handling specific research requests and providing support to the level 1 team and clients through rotating on-call duties.

3-5 years working in analytical or intelligence environments, ideally in the cybersecurity field.
