The role

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. By joining us now, you'll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics-working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

You will join a team of highly talented, motivated and collaborative professionals located in Sant Quirze del Vallès (Barcelona) and Zurich, Switzerland. As part of this team, you will play a key role in building the foundations of a robust, industrial-grade test automation system for autonomous mobile robots. Testing is a critical part of delivering robust and dependable robotic systems and achieving reliability at scale makes it both technically challenging and highly impactful.

Your work will directly reduce repetitive manual efforts across the team and strengthen the overall reliability of our products.

What you'll do

In this role, you will build and evolve the software infrastructure that enables reliable, continuous testing of autonomous robotic systems. Your work will help our teams detect problems earlier, improve release confidence, and scale validation as our products and deployments grow.

  • Integrating test environments with CI/CD and improving runner reliability, parallelization, caching, failure recovery and execution speed.
  • Developing tools and APIs to support debugging, observability, failure analysis and infrastructure health.
  • Making test execution reproducible and reliable, including helping distinguish infrastructure failures from product regressions.
