About the company & team

We are one of the most important food and supermarket chains in the world and creators of the Discount. Our history dates back to 1945, when the brothers Theo and Karl Albrecht took over the grocery business that their family had run since 1913 in Essen (Germany). Since our beginnings, we have always taken into account how important it is to know the customer and give them what they need at the best price. In Spain, we opened our first supermarket in 2002 and we already have more than 400 stores.

We care about the well-being of people: our customers, our team, and our environment. In our company, which is in full growth, there are always job opportunities for different professional profiles and opportunities for development and professional growth.

During these 100 years, we have established a relationship of trust with our customers and have covered their daily needs. We carry the principle of simplicity in our DNA; it is our competitive advantage, and this leads us to success as a company and makes us proud to continue generating employment in Spain. The path is not always easy, but every step counts. We know that success comes from teamwork, and we are proud to move forward together.

If you have a strong mindset, are tenacious, move forward with determination, have the qualities to generate a positive experience for the people who come to shop at our stores, and want to achieve your goals with a good team... We invite you to give your best and be part of this exciting journey!
