About the role

We are looking to add a Nurse to our Ballesol San Carlos residence, who will guarantee comprehensive, close, and quality healthcare, contributing to the well-being and health of our residents in a humane and trusting environment.

What will your mission be?

As a nurse, you will be responsible for providing personalized and continuous healthcare to residents, ensuring the correct administration of treatments and the clinical follow-up of each person. Your role is key within the multidisciplinary team, coordinating care and promoting health education among professionals, residents, and families.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and record residents' vital signs and weight, carrying out clinical follow-up together with the auxiliary team.
  • Administer medication prescribed by the medical team, coordinating its preparation and distribution with auxiliary healthcare or pharmacy staff, and supervising proper intake together with SPV and geriatric care assistants.
  • Apply topical treatments, perform wound care and nursing techniques, such as IV line placement, insertion and replacement of catheters or ostomy bags, blood glucose monitoring, and administration of medication via subcutaneous, intravenous, or intramuscular routes.
  • Detect and respond to possible medical emergencies, applying established protocols and mobilizing the necessary resources effectively and safely.
  • Provide health and care education to both family members and center staff, promoting good practices and healthy habits.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, providing relevant information about the clinical condition of residents.
