We are looking to add a Registered Nurse to our Ballesol Reus care home who can guarantee comprehensive, close, and high-quality healthcare, contributing to the well-being and health of our residents in a humane and trusting environment.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and record the vital signs and weight of the elderly, carrying out clinical follow-up alongside the support team.
  • Administer medication as prescribed by the medical team, coordinating its preparation and distribution with auxiliary healthcare or pharmacy staff, and supervising proper intake together with nursing assistants (SPV) and geriatric care aides.
  • Apply topical treatments, perform wound care, and carry out nursing-specific procedures, such as IV line insertion, placement and changing of catheters or ostomy bags, blood glucose monitoring, and administration of medication via subcutaneous, intravenous, or intramuscular routes.
  • Detect and respond to potential medical emergencies, applying established protocols and mobilizing the necessary resources effectively and safely.
  • Provide health and care education to both family members and center staff, promoting good practices and healthy habits.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, providing relevant information about the clinical status of residents.
