As a Commissioning Manager, you will be a key player in the execution of high-voltage electrical substation projects. Your main role will be to ensure the proper commissioning and delivery of projects, guaranteeing compliance with the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical regulations. What you'll do

  • Management and Coordination: Supervise and comprehensively coordinate all activities related to the commissioning of electrical substations, ensuring synergy among engineering, construction, and testing teams.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain fluid and professional communication with the end client, leading meetings, presenting work plans, and providing updates on commissioning progress.
  • Procedure Development: Prepare and execute detailed commissioning procedures, adapted to project specifications and the local and international regulations of each country.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the rigorous application of applicable technical and safety regulations in each country where projects are developed.
  • Testing Supervision: Accompany, supervise, and validate the execution of tests and trials (both in the factory and on-site) to verify the correct operation of equipment and systems.
  • Construction and Commissioning Coordination: Collaborate closely with construction teams to ensure a smooth transition into the commissioning phase.
  • Technical Documentation Management: Coordinate the review and management of project technical documentation, including drawings, electrical schematics, control logic, redlines (field documentation with modifications made), and As-Built drawings (final drawings reflecting the actual construction).
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct exhaustive analysis of drawings, electrical schematics, and control logic to proactively identify and resolve potential errors or discrepancies.
  • Team Supervision: Coordinate and direct the work team involved in commissioning, fostering a collaborative and highly efficient environment.
  • Hybrid Work: Perform your duties both in the office and during field visits, covering Low, Medium, and High Voltage substations.

What we're looking for

  • Academic Background: Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable professional experience in similar roles, preferably in the energy sector and electrical substation projects.
  • Advanced Technical Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of the configuration, adjustment, and wiring parameters of Low, Medium, and High Voltage electrical systems.
  • Solid experience in the verification, testing, and commissioning of blocking systems and interlocks, as well as analog and digital systems.
  • Familiarity with commissioning procedures and the start-up of substations.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze single-line diagrams, control schematics, and operational logic.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
