About the role

We are selecting an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join one of the projects that the Industrialization and Quality unit at BETWEEN Technology has implemented at one of our main clients in the automotive sector.

The selected candidate will join the Maintenance Department, reporting to the Engineering area, and will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation, repair, and continuous improvement of equipment and facilities within the production environment.

What you'll do

  • Perform maintenance on production equipment in compliance with internal safety regulations.
  • Carry out emergency and unscheduled repairs on equipment.
  • Diagnose process and machinery issues through root cause analysis; replace or repair components, and perform tests and adjustments.
  • Propose and implement equipment improvements to increase availability and durability.
  • Monitor equipment operation, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs.
  • Read and interpret manuals, schematics, assembly drawings, and work orders.
  • Carry out approved modifications on machines and equipment.
  • Lubricate and clean parts.
  • Start up equipment to verify its proper operation.
  • Use lathes, drills, grinders, welders, and other tools to manufacture or repair parts.
  • Maintain, install, and repair electrical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Program PLCs and use PLC logic to diagnose faults.
  • Perform basic modifications on ABB robots.
  • Install new machinery and equipment.
  • Comply with all company rules and policies.
  • Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Manufacture tooling approved for production.
  • Carry out pneumatic and electrical installations.

How you'll work

  • Availability to work 3 shifts (morning/afternoon/night).
  • Rotating shifts every 3 weeks.
  • During the first month, you will receive training on the central shift.

Requirements

Vocational training in Electromechanics or Mechatronics (Advanced Vocational Training or equivalent).

Knowledge of:

  • Electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagnostics.
  • Advanced Windows and MS Office skills.
  • Basic programming of Siemens PLCs.
  • Basic modifications on ABB robots.
  • Availability to work 3 shifts (morning/afternoon/night).
