About the role

The selected candidate will collaborate on the execution of the department's strategic plan and actively participate in the development of initiatives, campaigns, and events aimed at increasing Biogen's visibility and positioning in Spain and Portugal. They will also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with different departments within the organization and coordinate with external agencies and vendors, gaining a comprehensive view of the biotechnology sector and solid experience in corporate communications and Patient Advocacy.

What you'll do

  • Support the implementation of communication plans designed to increase the visibility of Biogen's initiatives in the media and internal channels, including awareness campaigns, corporate activities, and actions driven by the various business units, therapeutic areas, and the local commercial team (launches, meetings, webpages, etc.).
  • Participate in the creation of content and initiatives of interest for the department's different audiences, such as media outlets, patient associations, healthcare professionals, and the general public (press releases, advertorials, positioning documents, letters, webpages, and other communication materials).
  • Provide support in managing internal communication channels and content, including the corporate intranet, social media, internal newsletters, and other communications directed at employees, collaborating on the planning, creation, and dynamization of content.
  • Perform daily monitoring of media outlets and social media, preparing and distributing press summaries and compilations of relevant coverage.
  • Support the management of relationships and the development of joint initiatives with patient associations, foundations, NGOs, scientific societies, and other relevant stakeholders in the healthcare field.
  • Collaborate on internal processes for reviewing and approving communication materials, including editorial content, awareness campaigns, brochures, letters, and other informational materials.
  • Provide support in the organization and coordination of meetings, events, and engagement initiatives with external stakeholders.
