About the role

Reporting to the Quality Manager of Campofrío Spain, the person joining will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing compliance with actions related to the quality and environmental system of the plant(s), as well as coordination between them, with the aim of maintaining defined quality standards, in accordance with Company rules and policies, Corporate, and, where applicable, other BUs.

What you'll do

  • Carrying out and/or coordinating the implementation and maintenance of the Quality and/or environmental management system at the plant(s) under their responsibility, managing indicators, objectives, non-conformities, and corresponding corrective and preventive actions.
  • Preparing and implementing Inspection Plans / HACCP / PRPs for the plant(s) under their responsibility, as well as their document management, coordinating and supervising the work of inspectors.
  • Planning and/or conducting corresponding internal/external audits.
  • Ensuring that the plant(s) under their responsibility comply with all legal requirements and Food Safety protocols for which the plant(s) are certified: IFS, BRC, ISO, SAE, USDA.
  • Evaluating and/or approving subcontractors/suppliers of products/services.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the evolution of the quality system, and improvement proposals for the plant(s) and production processes (yield, costs, spoilage, packaging...) under their responsibility.
  • Leading and/or participating in discussions with Sigma Europe, other BUs, customers, and suppliers, and official Health Inspection services on topics related to product quality and technology.
  • Validating and collaborating on necessary reviews of product formulations, processes, and industrial machinery, in coordination with the relevant areas, as well as monitoring technological processes, industrial trials, and development at the plant(s).
  • Responding to incidents/consultations/complaints about products from other areas marketed in Spain and vice versa, in coordination with the relevant areas and the Quality Department.
  • Collaborating in employee training on aspects related to hygiene/quality of processes and products.
  • Will be responsible for the development and administrative control of their staff.

Languages

  • Advanced level of English.

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science and Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Veterinary Science, or Food Industry Processes.
  • At least 7 years of experience in processes and quality within the food industry.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring quality, food safety, and environmental standards (IFS-BRC-ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office and knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (TPM) will be valued.
  • Team management, organization, adaptability, and leadership skills.
