R&D Technician, Cosmetic Formulation · Freshly Lab · Reus

We are looking for an R&D Technician who wants to lead their own projects, work in a team where decisions are made based on technical knowledge, and see how their work becomes products that reach the market.

• Develop and adjust cosmetic formulations in the lab, working with different types of products and textures (gels, emulsions, biphasic products, suspensions, and others).

• Research raw materials and select ingredients based on your own criteria, according to the objectives of each project.

• Carry out stability, compatibility, use, and efficacy tests to validate the quality and performance of the developed products.

• Manufacture prototypes and samples for internal tests, trials, photoshoots, or the needs of the product innovation team.

• Collaborate directly with the Product Innovation team in defining and evolving projects, not just in their execution.

• Participate in the processes of transferring to manufacturing, ensuring the correct implementation of established formulas, methods, and parameters.

• Ensure that developed products comply with the regulations and regulatory standards applicable in the target markets.

• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, with the level of rigor that allows any team member to reproduce the work.

• Permanent full-time contract.

• Training in chemistry, pharmacy, biochemistry, or a related field, with a solid scientific foundation and a desire to grow in formulation.

• Previous professional experience in formulation is not essential. We are looking for junior profiles with potential, curiosity, and a desire to learn, because we have an internal training plan so you can progressively develop the knowledge and experience needed to work autonomously in R&D.

• Analytical skills and technical judgment to identify why something is not working and propose an alternative before escalating the problem.

• Rigor in documentation, because in the lab, if it is not written down, it does not exist.

• Interest in working directly with raw materials, emulsion systems, active ingredients, and texturizers. Experience in cosmetics is a plus, but profiles with a background in pharmaceutical or food formulation also fit well technically.

• Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a team on projects involving both technical and business profiles.

Buscamos un/a Técnico/a de I+D que quiera liderar el desarrollo de sus propios proyectos, trabajar en un equipo donde las decisiones se plantean desde el conocimiento técnico y ver cómo su trabajo acaba convirtiéndose en productos que llegan al mercado.

• Desarrollar y ajustar formulaciones cosméticas en laboratorio, trabajando con diferentes tipos de productos y texturas (geles, emulsiones, bifásicos, suspensiones y otras).

• Investigar materias primas y seleccionar ingredientes con criterio propio, según los objetivos de cada proyecto.

• Realizar pruebas de estabilidad, compatibilidad, uso y eficacia para validar la calidad y el rendimiento de los productos desarrollados.

• Fabricar prototipos y muestras para pruebas internas, tests, shootings o necesidades del equipo de innovación de producto.

• Colaborar directamente con el equipo de Product Innovation en la definición y evolución de los proyectos, no solo en su ejecución.

• Participar en los procesos de transferencia a fabricación, asegurando la correcta implementación de fórmulas, parámetros y métodos establecidos.

• Asegurar que los productos desarrollados cumplen con la normativa y los estándares regulatorios aplicables en los mercados objetivo.

• Preparar y mantener documentación técnica detallada, con el nivel de rigor que permita a cualquier miembro del equipo reproducir el trabajo.

• Contrato indefinido a jornada completa.

• Formación en química, farmacia, bioquímica o similar, con una buena base científica y ganas de desarrollarte en formulación.

• No es imprescindible que tengas experiencia profesional previa en formulación. Buscamos perfiles junior con potencial, curiosidad y ganas de aprender, porque contamos con un plan de formación interno para que puedas desarrollar progresivamente los conocimientos y la experiencia necesarios para trabajar de forma autónoma en I+D.

• Capacidad analítica y criterio técnico para identificar por qué algo no funciona y proponer una alternativa antes de escalar el problema.

• Rigor en la documentación, porque en el laboratorio lo que no está escrito no existe.

• Interés por trabajar directamente con materias primas, sistemas de emulsión, activos y texturizantes. La experiencia en cosmética suma, pero perfiles con background en formulación farmacéutica o alimentaria también encajan bien técnicamente.

• Mentalidad colaborativa y capacidad para trabajar en equipo en proyectos donde intervienen perfiles técnicos y de negocio.
