About the role

If you are interested in working with FPGAs in highly demanding technical environments, participating in the full development cycle... this opportunity could be a great fit for you.

We are looking for a Firmware Engineer (FPGA) to join a key project in the defense sector, working with advanced technology and complex systems.

What you'll do

You will participate in the full FPGA development cycle, from definition to final validation:

  • Design and implementation in VHDL.
  • Firmware simulation, validation, and verification.
  • Work on MPSoC (Zynq Ultrascale+) architectures.
  • Embedded C software development for standalone systems.
  • Direct interaction with real hardware (instrumentation, testing, debugging).

👉 You will have end-to-end visibility of the product, not just one part of the development.

What we're looking for

  • Experience with VHDL design (approximately 2-3 years).
  • Knowledge of SoC / MPSoC architectures (Zynq, Microblaze, etc.).
  • Experience in simulation and verification (QuestaSim or others).
  • Programming in C/C++ for embedded environments.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Vivado, Vitis.
  • Ability to analyze schematics and use instrumentation (oscilloscope, etc.).
  • Good level of English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microchip (Libero) FPGAs.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing in FPGA (FFT, filters, DDC, high-speed ADC/DAC).
  • Knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink.
  • Use of version control (Git).
  • Knowledge of Verilog.

What you'll get

  • Competitive Compensation 💰(don't worry, we will discuss the salary range for the position on the first call)
  • Semi-annual performance reviews (2 times per year)
  • Diversity and Inclusion 🤝(Equal opportunities)
  • Work-life balance, flexible working hours (start and end times)
  • We provide company buses and shuttles to facilitate commuting for employees to the center from different points in Madrid.
  • REFLEX Plan (flexible compensation plan, a "benefit wallet" where employees can contract various services and social benefits with tax advantages).

About the company & team

  • Project Diversity 🌍(ATM, defense and security, aerospace, aeronautics and much more)
  • Global Presence 🌐(with projects in the USA, Canada, the UK, China, and more)
  • Growth and Training 📈(Continuous and specialized training)
  • You will enjoy autonomy and flexibility (in organizing work based on objectives, in a close and collaborative manner with your colleagues and direct manager)
  • Innovation 💡(you will work with cutting-edge technologies, tools, and environments of the latest generation)
  • Personalized Career 🛤(horizontal and vertical career paths within the company with real opportunities for growth and personal and professional development).
