What will your job involve?
You will join the Product Maintenance Engineering Department, based in Majadahonda, Madrid, directly participating in the evolution and support of the onboard software systems of Talgo trains in commercial operation.
Your mission will be to investigate, analyze, and resolve incidents related to onboard software, ensuring the reliability of systems in service and collaborating in the definition and implementation of improvements that contribute to the product's evolution.

What you'll do

To achieve this, you will carry out functions such as:

  • Investigate and resolve incidents related to onboard software, both proprietary and supplier-developed, collaborating with maintenance bases, customers, operators, and manufacturers.
  • Analyze operational issues and define technical solutions, participating in the validation and verification of software modifications against established requirements.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation associated with the product, including requirement specifications, functional tests, technical reports, and maintenance documentation.
  • Participate in the implementation and evolution of software functionalities in railway control systems, contributing to the continuous improvement of the product.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on national and international projects, providing specialized technical support for onboard systems.

What we are looking for in you


What we are looking for

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and embedded systems, as well as experience or interest in software development for industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, SQL, and PLC programming according to the IEC 61131-3 standard.
  • Experience or knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networks such as MVB, WTB, CAN, and Industrial Ethernet (TCP/IP).
  • Experience with development tools such as ISAGRAF and CODESYS will be positively valued.
  • English level B2 or higher. Knowledge of German will be valued.
  • Availability for short-term national and international travel.
